A data path between SellerHint for Mac and SellerHint Web

Under considerationBoth productsShared platformFrom the roadmap

Sellers reasonably expect two products from the same brand to share information, and today they share nothing.

SellerHint’s response: Already on the public roadmap. No synchronisation exists today, in either direction

    Create marketing campaigns from SellerHint

    ShippedBoth productsMarketingFrom the roadmap

Campaigns could be reviewed in SellerHint but had to be created on eBay, so setting one up meant leaving the workspace and losing context.

SellerHint’s response: Already on the public roadmap. Cross-store campaign creation is not planned

In progressSellerHint WebSellerHint WebFrom the roadmap

Sellers who are away from their Mac have no way to review orders, messages or inventory in SellerHint.

More than one person on one SellerHint account

Not plannedBoth productsShared platformFrom the roadmap

Small teams sometimes want to split order and message work between people.

SellerHint’s response: Already on the public roadmap. Not planned for either product. There are no seats, roles or permissions.

Resolving a case from Case Center

Under reviewBoth productsCase CenterFrom the roadmap

You can now read and reply to a case in SellerHint, but resolving one — refunding, escalating, accepting or declining a return, closing it — still means going to eBay at the point where speed matters most.

SellerHint’s response: Already on the public roadmap. Responding to a case is already available and is not part of this item

Support for marketplaces other than eBay

Not plannedBoth productsShared platformFrom the roadmap

Some sellers list on more than one marketplace and manage each one separately.

SellerHint’s response: Already on the public roadmap. SellerHint is currently centred on eBay seller operations

What each status means

Open
Received and published for other subscribers to vote on. Not yet assessed.
Under review
Being read properly: what the underlying problem is, how often it comes up, and whether it can be done reliably through the interfaces available.
Under consideration
Understood and being weighed against other work. No decision has been made.
Planned
Accepted as work to do. Not started, and no release date is published.
In progress
Actively being built. Behaviour can still change.
Shipped
Released. Where a changelog entry has been published, it states what actually changed.
Not planned
Considered and declined, with the reason published. Votes do not reopen it, but a new problem statement can.

A status is a summary. Where a request is tracked on the public roadmap, that entry carries the full scope and the exclusions, and the card links to it.

Writing a request that can be acted on

Describe the problem, not only the feature

What were you trying to do, and what happened instead? A problem can be solved several ways. A feature name on its own often cannot be acted on at all.

Say what you do today

The workaround you already use — a spreadsheet, a second browser tab, a manual check before every dispatch — is usually the clearest description of the gap.

Say how often it comes up

Once a quarter and forty times a day are different problems, even when the ask sounds identical.

Name the product and the workspace

SellerHint for Mac and SellerHint Web are separate products. Saying which one you are working in, and which workspace, keeps the request from being read against the wrong behaviour.

Check the board first

If your ask is already here, voting on it is worth more than a second entry. Duplicates are merged into the original so the count stays meaningful.

Leave out anything confidential

Never include a password, an authentication token, an API key, or buyer payment details. Screenshots are helpful; check what is in them before sending.

Submit a request

Submitting a request is for paid subscribers

Reading and searching the board are open to everyone. Sending a request needs a paid plan, so the board stays small enough for every entry to be read by hand.

  • SellerHint for Mac — Pro, with a Mac App Store subscription
  • SellerHint Web — Pro, or a custom plan

How requests are handled

  • Every request is read. Requesting is limited to paid plans, so the board stays small enough for that to be true.
  • Votes show how widely a problem is felt. They are one input into what gets built, not the decision — a request with many votes can still be declined.
  • A declined request is marked Not planned with the reason published, rather than being deleted or left open indefinitely.
  • A repeat of something already on the board is removed from the request list rather than published twice, so a vote count is worth reading. Search before you submit, and vote on the existing entry instead.
  • Anything accepted moves to the public roadmap, where its scope and exclusions are stated, and to the changelog when it ships.
  • Requests that would need a marketplace other than eBay, or more than one person on one account, are declined — both are settled decisions rather than open questions.

Other ways to give feedback

A feature request is the right route for something SellerHint does not do yet. For something that is broken, behaving unexpectedly, or blocking work right now, use support instead — it is read sooner and does not wait on a vote.
